The National Low Income Housing Coalition claims that a usual American family needs to earn $20.30 an hour to afford a two-bedroom apartment. Their studies also concluded that an American should spend no more than 1/3 of his/her salary on rent. But we all know that real life isn’t that simple and when it comes to doing the math yourself, things are a bit different.
