At the age of 17, she wrote a letter of quite feminist content to Vogue. Here’s a short excerpt from it, “Why would you want to limit the spectrum of beauty to an “ideal” when you, as a popular women’s magazine, have the opportunity to expand it? (…) Beauty should be something that is celebrated and enjoyable, and not something that people feel uncomfortable achieving.”
