Matthew Perry
The actor, well-known for portraying the sarcastic Chandler Bing in the famous sitcom “Friends”, had a hard time giving up alcohol abuse during his youth. Perry wanted to become famous so badly, and even if the show was (and still is) extremely popular, it was never enough.
He admitted that he never drank on set but he was hungover most of the time. In a BBC interview, the actor said that he doesn’t remember about three years of the series: “I was a little out of it at the time — somewhere between seasons three and six.”
Moreover, after a ski incident he became addicted to painkiller pills. The constant alcohol and drug abuse showed its effects when he was hospitalized for pancreatitis. He decided it’s time to seek help in 2001 when he entered rehab.
