6. Fraunces Tavern

Built in 1719 in NYC, the Fraunces Tavern serves traditional American food and it’s open till late hours every day of the week.

It is an important historic landmark since it was a significant meeting place during the Revolution. It’s also the oldest building in Manhattan.

The Sons of Liberty used this as a meeting place and George Washington had his main headquarters here.

Besides being a restaurant it’s also a museum. The building had to face some difficulties over the years such as fires and a bombing that killed 4 people.

Fun fact: at the beginning of the 1900s it was supposed to be demolished by its owners and built a parking space instead. However many organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution helped preserve it until the Sons of the Revolution In the State of New York Inc. purchased it.

There’s neigh way you’ll want to miss out on this next place…..
