Chadwick Boseman
Chadwick Boseman was an American actor who studied directing at Howard University. As you probably already know, his breakthrough performance came in 2013 as baseball player Jackie Robinson in the biographical film 42. He gained more international fame after portraying the superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019.
Unfortunately, in 2016, our talented actor was diagnosed with colon cancer and he kept his condition private. Boseman continued to perform like a true artist, even though no one knew about his illness, as well as to support cancer charities until his death in 2020. His final film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (2020) was released a few months later. Boseman received many posthumous awards and nominations, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama.
