The effects of cranberry juice on UTI
We have to admit that cranberry juice is so delicious, but it can’t be an alternative to treat medical conditions.
According to Allison Hill, MD, an OB-GYN and the chief medical correspondent for Florajen, “the only way to cure a urinary tract infection (UTI) is with antibiotics. Cranberries may be helpful in preventing a UTI by making it harder for bacteria to attach to the bladder wall, but the juice contains lots of sugar, so it is better to consume cranberry in a supplement form like Cystex.”
