If we trust everything we see on the internet we can be made to believe that lemon is good for many things. But is this actually true? not in this instance as you should avoid this hack when it comes to your marble countertops because you can create serious damage to it.
“Marble countertops are composed of calcium carbonate, which reacts with acids, and lemons contain a high amount of citric acid. So when lemon juice touches marble, it quickly starts to eat away at the surface, ‘etching’ your countertops and leaving dull spots on the once smooth marble surface,” said Stapf.
