Being a vegetarian means avoiding animal products, especially meat, and sometimes it can be quite difficult for them to find something to eat when they go to a restaurant, not only because there is no vegetarian food on the menu (unless you want a side dish), but also because, most of the time, the restaurant chef doesn’t use 100% vegetarian ingredients.
For example, if you ask for a vegetable stock, vegan risotto and so on, they will tell you that they are entirely vegetarian, even though they add a few animal based ingredients for extra flavor and you’ll never know the difference. Instead, you can choose to order a regular salad or cake, or something with fresh ingredients.
