Anyone can become a celeb now with a YouTube channel. We’ve got product pushers, gossip peddlers, fitness gurus, comedians, gamers and so much more. Meet this 6-year-old YouTube star Ryan who earned $11 million this year by playing with toys. Well…the difference between Ryan and another kid who plays with toys is that Ryan works by reviewing the toys on his YouTube channel, “Ryan Toys Review.” Forbes has released the 2017 list of the 10 YouTubers with the highest income and guess what…Ryan rank at no. 8. This list covers the period from June 1, 2016 to June 1, 2017 and in this period Ryan’s videos clocked up 8 billion views.
His channel is worldwide, and he became a YouTube star by simply sharing his thoughts and opinions about toys. Ryan’s start was quite simple: his first video that was posted in March 2015 by his parents showed him unboxing a Lego Duplo train set. In only two years his channel has over 10 million subscribers. If you want to reach him, you should know that Ryan’s last name and place of residence are kept under wraps. Ryan’s mother who speaks about Ryan’s privacy, recalls how this cool journey started.
“Ryan was watching a lot of toy review channels — some of his favorites are EvanTubeHD and Hulyan Maya — because they used to make a lot of videos about Thomas the Tank Engine, and Ryan was super into Thomas. One day, he asked me, ‘How come I’m not on YouTube when all the other kids are?’ So, we just decided — yeah, we can do that. Then, we took him to the store to get his very first toy — I think it was a Lego train set — and it all started from there.”
Ryan’s mother has a full-time job with the channel. “Right now, he loves making videos. Every time I tell him we’re going to film, he gets so excited. As long as he’s loving it and it doesn’t disrupt his daily routine, we plan on continuing. But the moment he’s not having fun anymore, that’s when it will be time to stop,” his mother has said. Well…Ryan can’t go on with his toy channel forever, he will grow up, but maybe he will be attracted to something else.
