Not being prepared in advance of a showing
If you are showing the car from your home, which is not necessarily a good idea, be prepared well in advance of the appointed meeting time. An early arriving potential buyer who catches you topping off the oil or coolant, or even just vacuuming the interior, might become wary of the car’s condition, or how you have cared for it.
