To combat the rising price of rent, companies are beginning to look towards digital technologies for storage. As well as stores using “virtual merchandising” to allow customers to try out products virtually, there will be quick, low-cost distribution services which allow customers to have products delivered afterwards.
This will reduce the warehouse space needed, while making the supply chain more efficient.
