Thomas Stoltz Harvey, the pathologist who performed Albert Einstein’s autopsy, took it upon himself to remove—and keep—the famed theoretical physicist’s brain. Though Einstein’s son, Hans Albert, was angry when he found out what Harvey had done, Harvey convinced Albert that he wanted it for scientific research.
