Comedian Joe Rogan said that he supports Depp and shared his disapproval regarding Heard’s behavior, saying that she is a “crazy lady”. During an episode of his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience”, he said that people are “just manipulative and full of s**t like that”.
2. Candace Owens
Another public figure who has been vocal in support of Johnny Depp is the writer Candace Owens, who called Heard a “liar from day one”. During an episode of her show, Owens stated that she thinks it has been absolutely absurd to see what Heard was allowed to do because she was under the “radar of the Me Too movement”.
And she didn’t stop there! Owens stated that there was a lot of evidence to reveal that she was a very abusive partner from the beginning of the relationship.
Moreover, Owens added that Depp’s ex-wife is a great example of what she refers to when she says “toxic feminism”.
3. Winona Ryder
Even though she didn’t say anything this time, Winona Ryder gave a public statement about Johnny Depp at the beginning of the conflict with Heard, back in 2020.
Depp sued Heard in 2019 after she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post, in which she stated that she is a victim of domestic violence. Even though she didn’t directly say the name of Johnny Depp, the actor and his team understood that he was actually the aggressor she was referring to.
She started dating Johnny Depp when she was only 17-years-old and they were together for 4 years. The actress stated that she was shocked to hear that her ex-fiancé was accused of domestic violence against his partner.
Ryder stated that she can only speak from her experience, but Depp was never aggressive toward her, but very loving, protective, and caring. She also added that she’s never seen him act violently against someone and she felt deeply sorry about what was happening to him.
