Although Freddy Mercury is mostly referred to as a British star, he was born to Indian Parsee and he was raised in Zanzibar, Africa. It was actually quite often that he was accused of not being proud of his origins – however, his mother claimed differently. According to her, Freddy was always proud of his birthplace and native culture.
