This particular photo of a 14-year-old Efron with greasy crimped hair provides enough evidence for this. Actually, it wouldn’t have been that bad if the hair wasn’t parted in the middle! The picture was taken by a female classmate of Efron’s at the time he attended the California State Summer School for the Arts.
