Penélope Cruz is a Spanish actress and model. Cruz made her screen acting debut when she was 16 years old. She starred in several films, including Belle Époque (1992), Open Your Eyes (1997), The Hi-Lo Country (1999), The Girl of Your Dreams (2000), to name a few. Cruz is also the recipient of an Academy Award from three nominations, as well as two Golden Globe nominations.
Cruz is also the first Spanish actress to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was a model for Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and L’Oréal. Asked about her childhood, Cruz said she was very extroverted as a kid and did casting calls even though she was rejected.
