A few years ago, people needed some morning motivation, responsibility and an alarm clock. But this has been easily replaced by smartphones with clock and other functions, making them much more practical. Moreover, many studies show that young people use the phone as soon as they wake up.

Ever see a map steer you wrong? Or , flip phones have less problems with hacking. Wind up clock doesn’t depend on electricity. GSP depends on towers to send info to your phone, and those towers are still not everywhere. Paper maps are still viable, for they do not lose a signal. I can use paper and pencil for writing letters , or arithmetic calculations. I can also drive a 5 speed Manuel transmission car. I do not have to use emoji’s to get my feelings known.
