You don’t go to events that you find interesting
People who suffer from social anxiety, also known as social phobia, avoid a social situation because they are worried about interacting with other people and have these symptoms before, during and after the event itself. So, it’s not a short term feeling that you’ll probably have before a speech or going to a party with new people.
“If you find that every time you have to be around other people your heart rate is accelerating and you feel kind of flushed and nauseous or something like that, then that’s a different thing,” says Fisher. “You’re getting to a different level or consistency of how anxious you’re getting that’s not necessarily connected to a specific event or a specific threat.”
This anxiety disorder can be treated with appropriate treatment as well. Just talk to a medical expert for more information.
