This man received some responses, but the one that was a surprise was from a woman he barely knew – Sophy Ijeoma. The funny part is that she was the maid of honor at a friend’s when she saw Amedu’s post and maybe she thought it’s a sign. At first, she thought the post was a joke and she replied saying: “Am interested, just DM me…lols.”
“I never knew he was serious about the post,” Ijeoma told the BBC. Well, Amedu was extremely serious. When he saw her response, he sent her a private message and two days later the happy couple had their first date at a mall in her hometown, in southeastern Nigeria.
“It was love at first sight,” Ijeoma told reporters. “He is the most handsome man I’ve ever met, and I liked him instantly.” Amedu felt the same, and after taking one look at her said, “You’re beautiful”.
