Room 39 – North Korea
Ever since 1970, the secretive organization Room 39 has been maintaining the foreign currency slush fund for the country’s leader, Kim Jong-un. The organization is estimated to bring in between $500 million and $1 billion per year, and is also rumored to be involved in illegal activities, such as counterfeiting, producing controlled substances, and conducting international insurance fraud.
