Lascaux Caves, France
Located somewhere deep in the South of France, Lascaux is a series of caves that don’t seem out of the ordinary at first view. However, the caves are famous for the Palaeolithic cave paintings, which are over 17,500 years old – making them the oldest paintings known to men so far. Only a handful of researchers are allowed to enter the place only to make sure that everything is in place.
