Vertex Sky Bar absorbs the art deco style of the Hotel Alex Johnson whose 10th and 11th floors it occupies. With no views quite like it in Rapid City, the steel deck is dotted with fire pits and equipped with standing binoculars, which visitors can use to see all the way to the Black Hills, Dinosaur Hill, the southern buttes, and the eastern prairie.
