Passengers who stand while the seatbelt light is on

The seatbelt light is for your own safety and is on for a good reason! “I don’t care how bad you have to go to the bathroom, as a rule of thumb if [the flight attendants] are sitting, you should definitely still be sitting,” wrote one former flight attendant on Reddit. “If you break your neck because of Level 5 turbulence (which comes out of nowhere), it’s not worth that bathroom break.”

1 thought on “14 Things Flight Attendants Want You to Know”

  1. I can relate to the issues flight attendants face. They have a massive responsibility to protect passengers and courtesy should be given them. I used to do air rescue and people don’t realize the fear and emotion I felt when a rescue mission was called. The flight attendants face long hours from home and a normal social life isn’t likely. They would rather have a respectable friend on their flights and that means a lot more than people could ever know. I would want them to be a true friend regardless of their work because they may be the one who saves your life and it can be at a terrible expense. So when you fly be courteous, respectful, and polite. Those simple things means a lot.
