Drunk passengers

“If you drink too much and we cut you off when you ask for your fourth double vodka tonic in an hour, don’t try and pull the wool over our eyes and ask someone else,” wrote one Redditor. “We know about you, the onboard manager will know about you, and the captain will know about you.”

“As soon as I cut someone off, I let the crew working with me know that I’ve stopped giving 28B alcohol,” they continued. “When the manager calls us (every half an hour at my airline) we let them know that 28B has been cut off, and in turn, they’ll let the captain know. … I don’t think a lot of people realize how much we keep the flight deck in the loop on everything that’s going on.”

1 thought on “14 Things Flight Attendants Want You to Know”

  1. I can relate to the issues flight attendants face. They have a massive responsibility to protect passengers and courtesy should be given them. I used to do air rescue and people don’t realize the fear and emotion I felt when a rescue mission was called. The flight attendants face long hours from home and a normal social life isn’t likely. They would rather have a respectable friend on their flights and that means a lot more than people could ever know. I would want them to be a true friend regardless of their work because they may be the one who saves your life and it can be at a terrible expense. So when you fly be courteous, respectful, and polite. Those simple things means a lot.
