Shah-e-Cheragh is considered to be one of the holiest places in Iran.
This mosque, which is also a funerary monument, holds the tombs of Mir Muhammad and Amir Ahmad, who were Imam Reza’s brothers. History says that Imam Reza is directly related to the Prophet Muhammad and its eighth succesor, Shia Imam.
However, religion is not the only reason why this place gets so many visitors from around the world every year.Â
The building is also known as one of the most outstanding architectural masterpieces in the world – not only due to its great amount of details, but also its original interior.
