More people are employed in the tourism industry than any other in New Orleans, a city overrun by visitors, especially since 2018, its tri-centennial year, Responsible Travel says.
“Its historic French Quarter crams tourist attractions and cheap bars behind its fragile facades and the city’s ‘Disneyfication’ goes far beyond ‘The Princess and the Frog,’ the Disney cruise line that’s set to depart from here in 2020,” Francis says.
