Janis Joplin
There’s no better way to start this post than saying a few words about the one known as The Queen of Rock and Roll.
After earning her fame during the ’60s as the lead singer of Big Brother and Holding Company, Janis took life in her own hands and started off as a solo career. Although she was performing jazz, folk, country, soul and blues music quite well too, she is still remembered for her acid rock hits. Sadly, the singer died at just 27 years old, but she will definitely be remembered thanks to her attitude, energy and outstanding live performances.
