Aamito Lagum

Aamito Lagum is a Ugandan supermodel who rose to fame after winning the first season of Africa’s Next Top Model. She was raised by her mother in Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda.
She started her modeling career at the age of 16 and her first job was walking for Gloria Wavamunno’s GW Collection in Ugandan Fashion Week. However, in 2012, the beautiful model met designer Adele Dejak, who took her to Kenya for a photoshoot. A year later, she took part in a casting for Africa’s Next Top Model and eventually won the competition.
Since then, she walked for Lacoste, Marc by Marc Jacobs, J. Mendel, Rag & Bone, Giles, Jonathan Saunders, Paul Smith, to name a few. She modeled for Balenciaga, Lanvin, Dries van Noten, H&M, Giambattista Valli and Hermes. She has appeared in various magazines, including i-D, Interview, Love, American Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Vogue and so on.
