VIC MORROW
You may know Jennifer Jason Leigh’s father best because of  Twilight Zone: The Movie, but in fact, Morrow’s film career is over thirty years long. On July 23, 1982, the star himself and two child actors were involved in a helicopter crash that killed them because an explosive charge temporarily blinded the pilot. Victor and one of the children were decapitated. He was 53 at the time.
What followed was a nine-month trial that ended in 1987 with the film’s director and five other men being acquitted of involuntary manslaughter.
Worth noting is that the pilot of the helicopter criticized John Landis for putting the two children in the chopper in the first place when he found out he illegally hired them.
