Americans spend upwards of $8.8 billion on Halloween every year — making it the second-largest holiday industry after Christmas.
According to the National Retail Federation, Americans are expected to spend nearly $9 billion on Halloween this year.
The NRF takes an annual survey on how people spend their Halloween money – based on their data, individuals in 2019 will average $86.27 per person, which is a decrease from last year’s $86.79.
