Picture this scene: it’s 1999, Austin Texas, and the police have just been called to respond to a noise complaint. Officers arrive at the scene to see Matthew McConaughey stoned out of his mind, listening to music loud enough to drown out the space shuttle, and playing the bongos in the nude. The cops arrested him for drug paraphernalia (only illegal in Texas, of course) and marijuana possession.
