8. Joan of Arc
I think the nickname ‘Virgin Warrior’ says it all when it comes to Joan of Arc. As we already know, this fierce woman wore men’s clothing and basically put most male fighters to shame. We might also say that she was the first real feminist of her time!
These are the most significant reasons why Joan of Arc just couldn’t let go of what was seen as the most precious virtue of a woman: virginity. However, do note that she died at just 19 years old, so maybe if she lived longer she could’ve changed her mind!
