Drew Barrymore
Being involved in show-business as a kid definitely comes with a cost. Drew Barrymore is one good example of life beats the movie. She grew in a unfavorable environment, with her dad being a violent alcoholic and her mom having little parental skills.
In an interview for The Guardian she talks about her living an adult life at 7 and how that led to addiction. At the age of 8 she would go to night clubs with her mom almost everyday and she was already considered a “party girl “. Even if she was still a kid, she was already indulging in substance and alcohol abuse.
At the age of 13, she was checked into rehab where she spent more than one year. She is now grateful for every opportunity that comes into her life and admits that her 20s and 30s felt more like youth than her actual childhood.
