10. External Storage
For city dwellers without much closet space, an external storage unit can be an ideal solution. But what seemed like a quick fix can stretch into years- or decades-long relationship, with the monthly costs slowly ticking up.
You might even change apartments but continue with the same storage provider, requiring you to take a cab across town every time you need to drop off more stuff into the storage space. It might have been cheaper just to get a bigger apartment.
