Grilled fish and oysters
Your dinner should contain low fat foods, but also other essential nutrients that are recommended for your body, such as protein, vitamins and minerals. In this sense, you can opt for fish and seafood.
“Begin with a mixed greens salad with tomatoes, bell peppers, and onion,” says Katz. “[Follow that with] grilled salmon marinated in citrus juices, olive oil, and garlic, and add a side of steamed or sautéed vegetables.”
Moreover, oysters are also good for your health because they contain vitamins and other essential nutrients and minerals, such as zinc. “This mineral helps convert vitamin A, a vital nutrient for eye health, into a usable form and transport it through blood,” says Chip Goehring, Board President of the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF). “Recent studies also suggest that zinc can slow the progression of macular degeneration.”
