8. The ’76 House
Also known as ”The Old ’76 House” it was opened in 1754 and it’s located in Tappan, New York.
It was used by the patriots as a meeting place during the American Revolutionary War. It was also used as a location for several movies and TV shows such as ”The Sopranos” and ”Stepmom”.
It’s considered a historic place and it contributes to the Tappan Historic District.
It was bought in the 1980s by Rob Norden and nowadays managed by his son. The family made several adjustments and new additions to the place since it was in such a poor state when they purchased it.

Lucky enough to have been to 3. Would personally also add Beechman arms if Rhinebeck NY to the list though the inn itself, like the wayside Inn in MA are mire spectacular tan even the wonderful food.
