Volcanic Eruptions
You might think volcanic eruptions are incredibly rare events that would cause the entire world to take notice. But it turns out, there are typically about 50 to 60 volcanoes that erupt each year on Earth (that’s about one every week).
Part of why these eruptions seem uncommon is that they’re hardly ever the massive kind we see on TV and in the movies. In many cases, it’s difficult to even identify the start and end of an eruption.
