Pay attention to fake bank calls
As I said before and you already know what to do for your safety, you have to know exactly how some organizations contact you when they need to talk to you. Will they call you or prefer to contact you via mail? Well, you will probably find out that some banks will call you, so in this case, you have to figure out if it’s real or fake.
So, if your bank calls you to ask about your transactions and wants to know if they are legitimate, you can confirm or infirm it, but don’t give them more information than that, such as credit card number, expiration date, security code or other identity codes and so on.
The only case when you can give more information is when you personally call their official number or when you go personally to their office.
“Flip your credit card or debit card over, look at the number, call customer service and ask if you guys just called me. They have on the computer if they did or didn’t,” said Adam Levin, founder of global identity protection and data risk services firm CyberScout and author.
