Anchorage
When you speak about Alaska the first things that comes in your mind is its wilderness so, you may associate it with fresh air. “From 2013 to 2015, the Anchorage metro area experienced a weighted average of eight days a year when levels of short-term particle pollution reached unhealthy levels.”
The first reason for the spikes in pollution is that Alaskans usually use wood-burning devices for heat during cold and long winters, according to the Lung Association.
