El Centro, California
According to the American Lung Association, the number of unhealthy air days in this city has reached a new high. El Centro, which is in the far southern part of its state near the border with Mexico had more than 20 high ozone days every year and this is huge – although, is an improvement, considering that back in the 90 there were 125 high ozone days per year.
