ALICE PLAYTEN – HEART FAILURE / PANCREATIC CANCER / DIABETES

 

 

Alice Playten, an award-winning actress and a singer started in Broadway and she developed an amazing TV career having great roles in films like Legend and California Dreaming. She also played in series for children such as That’s Cat and The Lost Saucer. Unfortunately, Alice Playten died of heart failure at 63 with a lifetime full of treatments for juvenile diabetes which was complicated by a pancreatic cancer.

 

LAURA BRANIGAN – VENTRICULAR BRAIN ANEURYSM

 

 

This famous singer was the soul of some soundtracks of blockbuster movies like Ghost Busters and Flashdance. She left on this world her memorable and awesome ‘80s hits like Self-Control and Gloria. At first, she started having annoying headaches and because she didn’t seek press attention or medical treatment, Laura Branigan died at 52 at her home of a ventricular brain aneurysm.

 

CHRIS PENN – HEART DISEASE

 

 

Chris was in the acting industry and being Sean Penn’s brother wasn’t easy at all. He played in famous movies such as The Wild Life, Rush Hour, Reservoir Dogs, The Funeral and so many others. At the age of 40 he was found dead in his apartment and the autopsy showed that “the primary cause of death was nonspecific cardiomyopathy with no previous treatment.”

 

JAMES AVERY – COMPLICATIONS FROM AN OPEN-HEART SURGERY

 

 

The American actor and comedian, James Avery was well-known for his portrayal of Uncle Phil in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and he managed to be on the list of “50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time”. He also did voice acting for Shredder in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. James Avery suffered from several medical problems and he passed away at 65, because of some complications from an open-heart surgery.

 

RICHARD ATTENBOROUGH – HEART DISEASE

 

 

He was an Academy Award winner and he was well-known for his roles in Gandhi, Brighton Rock, Jurassic Park and The Great Escape. He was appointed the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the President of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. With severe heart problems he was forced to sold the family house for his treatment and he died peacefully at 90.
