Jailed activists
The band Pussy Riot got arrested for holding a protest concert. They were protesting the Russian Orthodox Church for supporting Putin.  Other activists notably arrested by the Russian government include environmentalists and a woman who was investigating the disappearance of some Russian soldiers.
