4. Cover up the smoke alarms
If you are a smoker and you want to be able to smoke in your hotel room, make sure you book a smoking room. If this is not possible, just go outside to the designated places to smoke. Under no circumstances should you cover the smoke alarm so you can smoke in the room. First of all, you are disrespectful to the hotel staff, and second of all, it’s not a nice thing to do. Think of it this way: you won’t like to have people smoking in your bedroom without you knowing that.
Don’t risk your safety and that of all other guests.
