Unsurprisingly, the nation of immigrants is the United States, but new arrivals to the country are more likely to gather to some states than others. Most the nation’s 42 million foreign-born residents live in California, Florida, Texas, New jersey and New York. However, the immigrant population is in a steady increase – 1.4 million new immigrants arrived in the U.S. in 2014.
The growing immigrant population is a major concern about the effect immigrants have on employment and society. This article represents 10 states that have relatively few immigrants compared to Texas or New York.
