7. Pat Nixon
Thelma “Pat” Nixon was born on March 16th, 1912, in Ely, Nevada. She was the wife of Richard Nixon, the 37th president of the United States, between 1969 and 1974.
She cared a lot about people that needed help, and she used her power as the first lady to speak her mind. She encouraged people to get involved in activities that can help those in need, such as volunteerism.
Pat Nixon continued the preservation efforts that Jackie Kennedy started and expanded access to the White House for those who had problems, such as marginalized groups, people with physical disabilities, and also people who spoke other languages.
She loved to travel and managed to visit over 80 countries. Even though she supported her husband’s political ambitions, she didn’t like the fact that their life wasn’t private anymore. She defended her husband for the criticism he received and was completely hurt by the scandal that drove him away from the presidency.
She told one of her daughters that the Watergate scandal is the one that hurt her the most. This was a big political scandal in the U.S., and it involved the administration of President Richard Nixon from 1972 to 1974. The Watergate scandal led to the president’s resignation.

Nancy Reagan for her love of the president and quiet guidance, Jackie Kennedy for her beauty and style and ability to hold it together after the terrible loss of her husband and Melania Trump for her beauty, intelligence (she spoke several languages) and her courage while keeping a low profile while the press demeaned her and her family.
