Kate Moss

  • Body insecurity: her bow legs

Katherine Ann Moss is an English model and businesswoman. She became famous in 1990 as part of the heroin chic fashion trend – a trend characterized by pale skin, dark circles underneath the eyes, a skinny body, messy hair and an angular bone structure. However, her popularity grew after her collaborations with Calvin Klein. Moss is the recipient of an award at the 2013 British Fashion Awards for her fashion career that lasted over 25 years.

In 2007, Kate Moss was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine. Due to drug abuse, the media began to follow her more closely, and in 2005 she was forced to give up certain fashion campaigns. Shortly after this episode, she recovered, and in 2012 she became one of the highest paid models in the world, according to Forbes.

Even though she’s a successful international model, she has body insecurities as well, but she isn’t afraid to recognize them. Asked about the rules that she follows when she has to dress up for a night out she said: “No rules, apart from heels, and I never do mid-calf. I’ve got bow legs. I can’t.”

Cheryl Cole

  • Body insecurity: her legs

Cheryl Cole is an English singer, dancer and TV personality. She gained fame in 2002 when she became a member of Girls Aloud, a girl group created by ITV’s Popstars: The Rivals. However, she started a solo career in 2009. She was the first British female singer to have 5 number one singles in the UK. In 2008, she became a judge on the British TV series, The X Factor – in 2011 she was a judge for the American version as well.

Everywhere in the press, she was called a ‘fashionista’ because she was considered a style icon. Cheryl is also one of the most beautiful singers in the world who has been photographed for the covers of British Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, and fronted cosmetic company L’Oréal from 2009 to 2018.

Nevertheless, when it comes to body insecurities, she has said publicly that she doesn’t like her legs. “I don’t like my legs, I haven’t got much of them for a start. It’s just the thing that I don’t like so if I was dressing myself I’d probably cover them up. If somebody sees a bit of cellulite on my legs in a magazine and it makes them feel comfortable then I’m happy that I’ve made that one person at home go ‘She has cellulite, it’s fine’.”
