Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o is a Kenyan-Mexican actress and author. Even though she was raised in Kenya, she was actually born in Mexico and attended college in the United States. At first, Lupita started her career in Hollywood as a production assistant, but in 2008 she made her acting debut with the short film East River. After a few years, she starred in the historical drama 12 Years a Slave (2013) which brought her even more fame and awards, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

She was the first Kenyan Mexican actress to win an Academy Award. Since then, she is continuously on the lists of the most beautiful actresses and women in the world, and of course, she totally deserves this status. Her perfect physical features, charming personality and innate talent make her an amazing woman.

    1. Not that I was expecting Helen of Troy or Cleopatra to show up on this list, but when a headline touts a list representing the most beautiful women OF ALL TIME, I find it amusing that no one on the list was born prior to the 1930’s. (But even with that limited range, the idea that Emma Watson or Blake Lively would beat out Natalie Wood is pretty absurd …)

      1. So that means that they omitted Vivien Leigh! (That is like omitting Oscar Wilde from 10 best dinner party guests.)

    2. Agree Barbara especially Ava I would have had her at number one, also not on the list is Cindy Crawford simply gorgeous even as she moves up in age and seems to be quite a wonderful person as she is beautiful. But there are an endless parade of gorgeous women who can fit into the top ten.

    3. Rick Spoonemore

Natalie Portman and Jessica Chastain are for sure two of the most beautiful women on earth! I’m old 72 so I’ve admired many of these ladies but Natalie and Jessica can hang with any of them!

    1. It has been said that Jaclyn Smith has the only perfectly symmetrical face. She is a beauty!
      Named my daughter after her.

  1. Scott MacDonough

What makes Jacqueline Bisset the most beautiful woman in the world is that her natural outer beauty (she has never had nor needed any cosmetic “enhancements”) reflects her inner beauty (having been honored by her friendship for 50 years, her compassionate heart, supreme intelligence, and delicious sense of humor never cease to astound me). She is also a first-rate, underrated actress, and everyone who has ever worked on one of her movies adores her.

  2. I don’t see how there could in reality be a list like this accurately compiled. It’s just not possible with all of the amazing candidates. Nice try though.

  3. Some of the women shown are very pretty but can’t hold a candle to Liz Taylor and many of the other older movie stars. Some of them aren’t even pretty. Weird.

  4. Agree w/Barbara…for instance, Ava, Liz, Merle, Hedy, Sophia….what about Grace Kelly? Catherine Daneuve? Romy Schneider? Legions of others…..I personally find this list offered for “10 Most Beautiful Women of All Time,” sort of “pedestrian. A few of them are, but, come on, the rest of them are sort of pedestrian: I’ve probably seen their likes at the grocery store every week and took no notice.

  5. Dewey sheffield

Ava. Gardner was my baby sitter and life long friend.

When she was home, she did not use makeup and she looked great. She was a very gracious person and did her best to make others comfortable and at ease.

When you were with her, you were with greatness.

    1. Character Witness

Really?! Someone shacking up with another woman’s husband should NOT be considered great by any means. Beautiful maybe because that is an accident of birth & dna but certainly not great.

    1. I completely agree that Sophia Loren is the most beautiful. The only other one on the list worth considering is Brigitte Bardot, the rest are attractive, even beautiful, but these two are the all time winners in my book.

  6. None that you mentioned could hold a candle to: Claudia Cardinale, Jean Simmons, Ann Blythe,
Morgan Fairchild, Shirley Jones, Brooke Shields, Julie Christi, Gina Lollobrigida, Denise Richards, and Terry Moore; iz zat ten???

    1. Claudia Cardinale in Once Upon A Time In The West
just simply knocks one’s socks off .

This list is just a bad joke . Maybe an April Fools Day thing .

  7. There are several women not on this list that should be; Sophia Loren, Gina Lolllobridgida, Liz Taylor…but I do agree with one question, here…How can you narrow it down to only 10!?

  8. Anyone who would leave Elizabeth Taylor out of of the No. 1 spot is either blind or jealous! To leave her completely out of the Top 10 must be ugly as heck! Bouncy, as I call her, thinks she’s the hottest thing alive, but she’s way out of her league, and half of those women on the list shouldn’t even be in the Top 100!!! I’m amazed double ugly Michelle Obama didn’t make the list!

        1. I don’t agree with the comment about Michelle Obama , or think that it was in good taste ,

But I’m so sick of everything being viewed as “racist” .
I happen to think that the first woman shown who is Black shouldn’t even be a candidate for this list ,
and though the most blatant poor choice ,
Neither should any of the others save Bardot &Marilyn .
So am I a racist too?
If you happen to not like how specific Black women look-

          You’re a racist?

        2. I did not see any reference to race Teddy Bear!!!
But then, there are those that look for it anywhere, right?

    1. That’s a pretty rude and racist comment about Michelle Obama. Let me guess. Lover of the Orange Sleepy Farting Felon?

    1. Daniel E Fletcher

I agree 110% she is the most beautiful person inside and out I have ever seen. I would love to meet her over her husband!

    2. Ugh…not with those cruel eyes and sour expression most of the time, although the last is understandable with her acceptance in continuing to live with world’s # 1 con man.

  9. How is it possible for you to have left out Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren,, Claudia Cardinale and last but not least Marie Dressler?

    1. Yes! So very beautiful both on the outside and inside. From Wikiedia: “Hepburn devoted much of her time to UNICEF, to which she had contributed since 1954. Between 1988 and 1992, she worked in some of the poorest communities of Africa, South America and Asia. In December 1992, Hepburn received the US Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.”

    2. Thats what im talking about. The younger generation probably doesnt have a clue who Audrey Hepburn is but she gorgeous, vivacious, and talented and thats putting it mildly. I think Jennifer Lopez deserves a mention also.

  10. Natalie Wood and Jacklyn Smith both were and are beautiful. Martina McBride is also a beautiful lady. I don’t know who chose your list but there are a lot better looking women out there than the ones selected.

  11. Any list of 10 most beautiful women of all that doesn’t include Hedy Lamarr, Elizabeth Taylor and Catherine Daneuve has no credibility!

  12. The most beautiful women in the world. I cannot believe you left out ELIZABETH TAYLOR. SHE WAS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN ALL THOSE YOU NAMED. .

  13. Women who belong on this list, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Brook Shields, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, Gina Lolobrigida (who was actually voted the most beautiful woman in the world), Brigitte Bardot, Verna Lisi, Gene Tierney, just to name a few. Look at their photographs, their beauty is beyond compare.

  14. They are all beautiful women but hardly the most beautiful of all time for instance, where was Greta Garbo, Hedy Lamar, and Vivien Leigh just to name a few on your list? I believe your judges must have been under 25 years old and nit very knowledgeable.

  15. This list of the top ten most beautiful women is a complete joke. Only maybe three of them actually deserve to be on it. How about: Grace Kelly, Jaclyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett, Kim Basinger, Raquel Welch, Linda Carter, Barbara Eden, Shania Twain, Hally Berry, and Audrey Hepburn. Of course everyone is going to have some favorites based on individual personal tastes. But at least all of these women actually deserve to be in the conversation.

  16. This is a very poor attempt to identify the most beautiful women of all time, given that all time must mean people born after 1990, with a few exceptions. I would not comment on any one person on this list. However, a better list would have been presented if the author had taken the time to list the three most beautiful women of each decade, and then created a top ten list. It would at least require a review of each decade. There are numerous women in the 30s 40s 60s and 70s who would rate much higher than the majority of the women on this list.

  17. Ummm ….It says most beautiful woman OF ALL TIME
Blake is very pretty/cute and all but she surely doesn’t beat out Sophia and Raquel and I’m sure she would agree!

  18. The only ones I agreed with were the old school ones. All the current ones were mid-range at best. When you don’t even mention Scarlett Johanssen in that group? Yeah, that’s suspect cuz she leaves all the current ones in the dust. I met a woman at a bank just a couple days ago that exuded such sensuality, she would make all but the old school ones looking bad! Closest you got with the new batch was Blake Lively and I aint much for blondes.

  19. Dr. Candi O Belle MBA M. Juris PhD.

Everyone of these women are lousy at picking men. Yes, I ‘still’ believe in love between a man & a woman. What is see is a lot of makeup, surgery, wealth and no substance. What good is it, if she cannot boil an egg?

  20. WOW – You missed the mark on this list. The most stunning woman of all time is Sophia Loren! who should be followed by Halle Berry.

I would also say that about half of your list can be excluded.

  21. Fred Strutton

This really should be re-named, “The 10 most beautiful women of all time who have made their living in front of a camera.” Most of us have known, or worked with, extremely beautiful women who lived much more obscure lives, and were thus unknown to most of the world. I’ve known quite a few who would make most of the celebrities mentioned here look like Plain Jane, and they didn’t even need professional makeup artists to do it.

  22. Dorothy Dandridge, Liz Taylor, Lena Horne, Sophia Loren, Ava Garner, Pearl Bailey, Natalie wood, Rachel Welch, Pam Grier, Greer Garson, Rita Haywood, all are worthy of noting, as well as many others.

  23. Sofía Lauren is best of all all the way into 70s the white woman loose there looks after 50 or earlier, but Italian woman and women from Mediterranean area with there olive skin color stay beautiful for very long time.

  24. i DON’T KNOW WHAT YOUR PROCESS IS FOR MAKING THESE CHOICES BUT i THINK YOU NEED TO GET A NEW PROCESS AS ONLY THREE OF THESE LADIES WOULD MAKE MY LIST.

  25. Left out some of the MOST Beautiful in the world:
Elizabeth Taylor, Hedy Lamarr, Ava Gardner, Charlize Theron, Anna Nicole, Claudia Cardinale Sophia Loren, Natalie Wood, Ann Margaret and the incomparable Grace Kelly. To name a few!

  26. I do not agree that all of these 10 women are the most beautiful of all time. Some of them are only average looking.

  27. number one most beautiful is audrey hepburn
number two most beautiful is beyonce
number three most beautiful is monica bellucci
number four most beautiful is marilyn moroe

  28. So…according to what statistics? It would seem that all the top ten whatever lists are compiled by millennialists or x generation writers. Apparently, they haven’t seen movies from pre-80s which featured some of the most beautiful women of all time. No mention of Joan Collins (or her sister for that matter), Hedy Lamar, Ava Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor (violet eyes) and the list goes on.

  29. Most of those beaties shown are stunningly beautiful. Picking just one is a tough choice, so I’m going to throw my vote in as a tie.

  30. Bardot & Marilyn .
The rest are just ridiculous in terms of “10 Most Beautiful Women of All Time” ,
I realize individual tastes differ , but nonetheless find this list ridiculous .

  31. First who is that first picture of. The first lady sitting on her rump showing leg is not identified.
Second a black woman from Africa shouldn’t make the list. Bring on the blonds or bring on the Bond girls of the original 007 movies.

  32. What an awful list….what about Hedy Lamar, Ava Gardner, and especially Grace Kelly just to name a few. My goodness, who comes up with these lists?

  33. I think some of the European porn star women such as Alexis Love are the most beautiful women or Keri Sable or August Smith

  34. Melanie Gordon

This list is ridicules. Where is Elizabeth Taylor? There were a lot more actresses more beautiful than on this list.

  35. Lorraine Cypher

I am sorry to say you forgot one lovely woman, she and I came from the same town. Philadelphia penna. is were Grace Kelly lived, in the suburb of College Town.

  36. Monica Belluci was so beautiful when she was young. No plastic surgery. Rachel Wise, gorgeous! Eva Green, her eyes! Elizabeth Taylor, stunning from birth! Farrah Fawcett, when she was young! Hedy Lamarr the smartest, beautiful woman! Emma Koc, gorgeous young singer ( German, I think). 1966 Cleveland High School Rose Festival Princess Linda Winslow Portland, Oregon. My sister, Sheila! The little girl who played Rhett Butler and Scarlett O’Hara’ daughter in the film version of Gone With the Wind.

  37. Such a stupid list.
    The 10 most beautiful women…?

Why not the 20 best films…?
    Song…?
    Cheesecake…?

Someone (Marx?) said religion is the opium of the people.
As fewer people partin organised religion, social media nonsense has bevy the new opium.

  38. Dale Scherfling

    You forgot Virginia Pipeline!
Read the headlines, dummy: ’12 Men Die Layng Virginia Pipe Line’

  39. This list will never please everyone as the reasons for choosing change so much for each voter, such as no makeup, loved the movie she was in, her hair style, and so on. Two favorites of mine could be actress Halle Berrie, and Mary Ann from Gilligans Island. Everyone is not wrong, just picking their own choices using their own reasons. C’mon all, just enjoy this category.

  40. Your voters left out the EXCEPTIONALLY BEAUTIFUL Charlize Theron! She’s had my vote for almost 30 years…

  41. Pam Grier Gwyneth Paltrow Jessica Alba Sigourney Weaver the one lady from Halloween H2O y’all ask young people you should have asked people who was a little bit up in the age so that they knew a lot more actresses and Beyonce shouldn’t even be on the list
