Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson is an American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter. Gibson studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. He starred in the post-apocalyptic action series Mad Max and the buddy cop film series Lethal Weapon. His role in Gallipoli (1981) earned him the Best Actor Award from the Australian Film Institute.
For his contribution to Braveheart (1995), he received the Golden Globe Award for Best Director, the Academy Award for Best Director, and the Academy Award for Best Picture.
His career was affected due to some legal issues, but he returned a few years later and won two Academy Awards and other four nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.
In addition, what many people don’t know about our famous and talented actor and director is that he went to Mad Max’s casting to support his sister, but it seems that he was the center of attention because of his appearance (the night before was involved in a bar fight). When director George Miller saw him, he told Gibson to come back in a few days for a small role. However, when he returned, he surprised Miller because he looked different and more elegant. That’s how he got the lead role in Mad Max.
