Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford is an American actor and pilot. He’s the fourth highest-grossing domestic box office star of all time, with his films grossing a total of over $5.1 billion in the United States and $9.3 billion worldwide. Ford is also the recipient of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award nomination, four Golden Globe nominations, three Saturn Awards, and the AFI Life Achievement Award, as well as the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
In his college years, he took a drama class in the last quarter of his senior year because he wanted to get over his shyness. In 1964, he went to Los Angeles to apply for a radio voice-over job, but he didn’t get it. He later played bit roles in various films. He didn’t like these roles, so he decided to become a carpenter – he needed more money to support his family, that’s why he chose this job.
As a carpenter, he met with the casting director and fledgling producer Fred Roos who secured him an audition with film director, producer, screenwriter, George Lucas. So, Ford was given the role of Bob Falfa in American Graffiti (1973). Well, after this episode, Ford began to receive bigger roles in various films.
