2. Jay Leno from Conan
If you hear talks of “talk show drama”, you should expect to see Jay Leno in the middle of it.
Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno were both hosts for The Tonight Show and that led to a scheduling conflict. The show would put Leno on first and then O’Brien. Conan soon after left to go to TBS and started his own show named after him.
The first rule of this new show was: Leno will never be a guest. O’Brien kept his position on this decision very firm, and he even publicly turned down any hypothetical amount of money he was ever offered for such an interview.
